The Audition

When is the first audition?

You can choose between May 24th or May 31st, 2015 from 8:30am-6pm.

When are Call Backs?

Dream Big, Inc. reserves the right to conduct additional auditions and “call backs” within the month of June 2015, if deemed necessary by the producers of the show.

Is there an audition registration donation/donation?

Non-refundable audition registration donations are as follows:

  • Solo Act: $30
  • Group of 2: $35
  • Group of 3: $40
  • Group of 4: $45
  • Group of 5: $50
  • Group of 6: $55
  • Group of 7: $60
  • Group of 8: $65
  • Group of 9: $70

How do I dress for auditions?

Your stage presence will play a factor in the judging process. Dress to reflect the genre of your performance. Avoid clothing that has corporation logos, profanity, or brand names as video and pictures will be taken of you during auditions.

What do I bring to auditions?

a copy of the resume and bio that you emailed to when you originally registered, a picture clearly showing your face (no profiles), and all forms indicted in the forms section of the audition page -- please print and complete these forms. It is recommended that you are well hydrated and well nourished prior to your audition. Bring a bottle of water and a snack.

If I miss my call time, what are my options?

If you miss your audition window, you can still come to auditions but there is no guarantee that you get to audition. Dream Big does reserve the right to hold more auditions in June 2015and if this occurs, you may have another opportunity to audition.

If I miss the audition registration deadline, what are my options?

email us at to request an extension of the deadline -- you will be asked regarding your resume to determine if space is available for your type of act. You may also show up at the venue on May 17th, but there is no guarantee that you will be given an audition time.

Are there rehearsals?

If you are selected to be a finalist in Central Florida’s Talent Showcase, you must be prepared to attend the primary rehearsal on July 12, 2015, run through rehearsal on August 23, 2015, and the technical rehearsal on the day of the day of the event, starting as early as 1pm on September 5, 2015. The Technical Rehearsal will end in plenty of time for you to get ready for show time.

What is the audition venue address?

IMPORTANT, there are 2 different audition venues!

  • Location 2: March 31, 2015: 5783 N Ronald Reagan Blvd, Sanford, FL 32773

How do I find the audition ballroom?

On May 24th, at the Rosen Shingle Creek, once you arrive at the gate, identify yourself as auditioning for Dream Big’s Central Florida’s Talent Showcase. The guard will direct you.

What is the parking fee

The following are the current parking rates at Rosen Shingle Creek:
Self-parking: Complimentary (self-parking is actually the closest to the CFGT Ballroom)
Valet $20.00
Overnight $21.00

On May 31st, there are no special instructions for parking and no parking fee.

What are the contestant age requirements?

Ages 10 and up accepted.

If my parent can't come with me to the audition?

A minor must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian to the auditions and the event.

What materials will be available at the venue?

The audition venue will have a microphone, small stages, wood floor, and carpeted areas. You are responsible for your music - bring your iPod, CD, or Flash drive. You are responsible to bring your music on iPod,CD, or Flash drive (email us of you plan to bring a flashdrive to ensure we have a laptop for your use). If you need any special equipment, you are required to bring it.

Am I allowed to audition as part of a group and individually?

This is allowed and you will have to register under the group and also as an individual. If you are auditioning as a group the entire group must be at the auditions.

Are Accommodations Available?

Rosen Shingle Creek is offering the special room rate of $129.00 per room, single / double occupancy, to our guests for the event. These rates apply for the dates of Friday September 4th, 2015 through Sunday, September 5th, 2015. Guests may call in directly and identify themselves with Dream Big Inc, (The Central Florida’s Talent Showcase Event) and you will be offered the discounted rate. Reservations can be made by attendees calling the Rosen Shingle Creek Reservation Department directly at 1-866-996-6338. Please request the group rate for the Central Florida’s Talent Showcase Dream Big Event.

All guest room rates are net, non-commissionable and are quoted exclusive of appropriate state and local taxes and surcharges. A 6.5% Sales Tax and 6% Resort Tax are applicable to the Room Rate and subject to change without notice (total 12.5%). There is an extra person charge of $20.00 per person per night. Children under 18 may stay free in their parent’s room using existing bedding.

What is the Prize for the First Place Winner?

Title of Central Florida’s Entertainer of the Year, $1500 Cash Prize, Other cash and prizes TBA. There is also a People’s Choice Award: $500 and a People’s Choice Award Trophy.
